Maëlys Schweitzer graduated from a Bachelor in Chemistry and Biology carried partly at University of Grenoble, France and Uppsala University, Sweden. She is currently in the last semester of her Master’s degree in Molecular Biology (Immunology and Microbiology). After a 3-months internship at the division of Medical Inflammation Research, Karolinska Institutet, in 2023, where she worked with human cohorts, aiming to develop a diagnostic kit for psoriatic arthritis patients, she decided to join Vacara for her master thesis in 2024. Now, she is producing antibodies designed for sale and carrying out the development of novel diagnostic kits for autoimmune diseases. She has expertise in cell biology, bacterial lab work, protein production and characterisation.
