Anthony Yau (MSc in Biochemistry) received his PhD from Karolinska Institutet in 2016 and has over a decade of academic research experience in autoimmune diseases and vascular biology. His work advanced understanding of disease mechanisms and supported biomarker discovery and therapeutic evaluation using animal models and clinical samples.

Following a successful academic career resulting in 20 peer-reviewed publications, Anthony spent five years at two international diagnostic companies in Sweden and the United Kingdom, contributing to the development of multiple immunoassay products from concept through verification and validation, regulatory submissions (FDA 510(k), CE marking), and post-market technical and customer support. Anthony joined Vacara in 2026, bringing deep expertise in diagnostic immunoassay development and application, and extensive experience using diverse disease models to address complex scientific and clinical challenges.
